Summer Camp is great, but we also think it is important for families to spend time together, learning together and building memories together. DaySpring is a greeting card and gift company near NLR. They are great supporters of the Ranch and lots of us have friends who work there (Holley, who writes the Parents’ Prayers, works for DaySpring). They share this same vision of helping families grow. DaySpring has a web site called ReallyWoolly.com which is a great place to find activities to do with your kids, including some really unique live online classes. You should check it out.
We thought it would be fun to start a series of blog posts about activities that families can do together. We are pretty good at coming up with cool stuff to do at camp, but you’re probably better at coming up with fun ways to spend time with your kids at home. So, this series is really all about you sharing your ideas with other families.
Here is how it works:
If you have a great summer time activity you like to do with your kids share it in the comment section for this post, and be sure and read through what other parents have posted…you might get some new ideas!
Just to give you a little motivation to get things started we’ll randomly choose one comment a week from now. The winner will receive a kit that includes everything you and your kids need to plant a Siberian Elm tree in your own yard, and a FREE online live event at ReallyWoolly.com! We’ll keep this series of blog posts going all summer, so check back each week and see what other new ideas you find, and to share your own.
