I can hardly believe that I am saying this, but it is the last day of Summer Camp 2011. This week, and this whole summer, we had such a great time singing silly songs, playing fun games, making new friends, and most importantly learning what it means to give our all to Jesus Christ. We can’t wait for next summer and we hope to see you there!

The walk-on character (the reoccurring skit that happens during MCP) for this week is the crazy robot, Mr. Roboto! He is plotting to take over New Life, and is doing all sorts of dastardly things, like deflating the blob, making the temperatures outside soar, and only allowing lettuce to be served at meals! Oh no! How will he be stopped!
When it is as hot outside as it was today there is nothing quite as refreshing as a dip in the cool waters of Flint Creek!
Today during Day Camp we played a really fun game, Deck Out Yo Counselor! Campers are given a bucket full of supplies, and then given the task of dressing their counselor up to look like the bird their flock is named after. The best part of the whole game is that it ends with the counselors showing off their new look in a runway style walk-off!
It’s Tuesday, which means that tonight is the overnight! Unfortunately due to a burn ban we weren’t able to cook our hobo’s over an open fire, but that didn’t stop us from getting creative. We still constructed our hobo’s as normal, but cooked them instead in the oven. They still tasted great as usual!
