Campers are given a bucket full of supplies, and then given the task of dressing their counselor up to look like the bird their flock is named after. We started the day spending some quiet time with God (in Table for Two), went to our activity classes, sang silly songs and played fun games in Morning Camp Party, played Big Friz for the cabin challenge game, had a great Word bible study, swam in the creek for Free Time, and finished with a great lesson in Chapel! We can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!

Like in past summers, cabins were given supplies to build a boat out of cardboard and then they raced them from one side of the creek to the other and back. However, there was an added twist: this summer the cabins were given the supplies at the beginning of the week and were given time to work on them all week! The races were a blast!

The cabin challenge game for today was Big Friz. Each cabin starts in their hoop. In the center their disc is thrown out into the ballfield. The goal then is to bring the disc back to the hoop by tossing it to their fellow cabin mates. It is a great time of cabin bonding and working together!

One of the biggest parts of the night is the hikes the cabins go on. A lot of the cabins end up at the West 40, a 40 acre stretch of fields surrounded by trees. There is a lot of room at the West 40 for campers to spread out and spend some quite time with God, reflecting on the beauty of His creation.
