Frequently Asked Questions
Individuals, foundations, or groups of donors can create a named endowed scholarship to support camper scholarships at New Life Ranch. These gifts are invested in the Founders Endowment, the earnings of which provide scholarships for camper families who need assistance to cover the cost of camp
Currently, thanks to generous donors who are matching endowment gifts, a minimum gift of $2,500 is required to create a named, endowed scholarship. Because of the matching funds, the initial gift will be matched 3:1. This means that a gift of $2,500 will be matched with $7,500, in total creating a $10,000 named endowment. The initial gift can be given immediately, pledged before 2026, made in a lump sum, or made over multiple gifts. A donor can give online, or contact Shelby Mooty (shelby@newliferanch.com), Development Director, to discuss ways to give. New Life Ranch will create a gift agreement with the donor to establish the name of the fund and the donor’s intent.
Yes, a donor can absolutely support the Founders Endowment by giving less than the minimum amount. When making a gift online, a donor can select from the dropdown menu an existing named fund to support, rather than creating their own fund. Alternatively, the donor can select “Wherever Needed” from the dropdown menu, and New Life Ranch will select the fund where the gift will be designated. A list of existing funds and descriptions can be found below.

LTJG Aaron P. Fowler (1992-2022) left an immense legacy of faithfulness and friendship when he lost his life in a military training accident. Aaron was a camper at New Life Ranch, completed the Leadership Development Program, and was a camp counselor in 2011. It was evident to anyone who met him that his purpose was to make God’s name known, and the hope of this fund is to continue that legacy in honor of Aaron.
